Isobel Rohwer
Principal and financial planner
After starting her career as co-owner of an independent small- town brokerage, and completing various industry-related qualifications namely B.Comm (HRM); CFP and an Advanced Post-Graduate Diploma in Investments, Isobel took over The One Financial Solution in 2012. The combination of her passion to empower, serve and uplift her community and her hard-earned qualifications, makes her a compassionate life coach, financial planner and adviser.
She balances her professional career with being a wife and mother of two daughters and spending free time (when it’s available) on her mountain bike or in the sky.
Joey Barendse
Co-owner and short-term insurance specialist
Joey has worked in the insurance industry for over three decades. After managing her own brokerage for 25 years she merged her business with The One Financial Solution in 2013. She is our short-term insurance specialist and is based in George.
Joey is married, a mother of two and grandmother of six. Joey is an avid cyclist and loves gardening and the outdoors.
Anneke van Emmenis
Senior financial planner
After 17 years in the insurance industry, Anneke joined the One Financial Solution in 2017. She completed her Post-Graduate Diploma in 2021 and has recently been approved as an internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner Professional.
Anneke is married and the mother of two daughters. Anneke’s spontaneous personality and constant drive for perfection earns the trust of our clients as she forms part of the succession planning of the practice. She likes wine, braaiing and camping, in that specific order.
Marlise Steenekamp
Charted accountant and estate specialist
Marlise has been a Chartered Accountant since 2002. She has 23 years of corporate experience, and brings plenty of expertise to The One Financial Solution.
In 2015 Marlise earned her Advanced Post-Graduate diploma in Financial Planning, specialising in Estate Planning, from the University of Free State.
She is the mother of two sons, enjoys classic car drives and teaches Spanish dance in her spare time.
Rina Theron
Investment Assistant
Rina is our right hand Investment Assistant and Mother Hen of The One. She is well known with our clients, and has a heart of gold. Rina does her job with lots of enthusiasm!
Rina is married to Hannes, is mother of 2 daughters, and grandmother to 4. She enjoys the outdoors and camping, especially in secluded places like the Kgalagadi.
